Who Was Kimbo Slice?



Like myself  a lot of you didn’t know who Kimbo Slice was, well saying the pictures I instantly recalled seeing the bearded athlete in the ring. The very intimidating street fighter who parlayed his very own internet popularity my a margin to his own advantage. His popular surpass his street boy creds into a mixed martial arts career and worldwide fame, on June 6, 2016 he was pronounced dead. He was 42.

Slice, whose real name was Kevin Ferguson, was rushed to a hospital in Margate, Florida, not too far from his home Monday, Coral Springs Police Sgt. Carla Kmiotek said in an interview.

Slice’s longtime manager Mike Imber, confirmed his death on Monday.

“We lost our brother today,” Imber said in a text message to The Associated Press.

The cause of death unclear. Kmiotek said there is no active police investigation, and no foul play is suspected.

Born in the Bahamas and brought up in the Miami area, Kimbo was a strip club bouncer and bodyguard who began competing in unsanctioned street fights in 2003. Videos of his violent knockout victories in those bouts became wildly popular online, both for Slice’s raw punching power and his distinctive, intimidating appearance

Chicago had the Deadliest January in 16 Years – Chicago or Chiraq?!?




It’s being said that Chicago’s Drill music and Police killings are both aiding outrageous explosions and senseless killings in the projects ‘hood’ of Chicago. The city has never seen so much blood for the past 16 years in only a month.

Chicago saw a sensational spike in the quantity of manslaughters and shootings in January – the bloodiest begin to a year in no less than 16 years and a blow to blow police force attempting to recapture open trust taking after the arrival of a video of a white police officer shooting a black teenager. That cause days of dissenting on the black lives matter movement as they were angered by Laquan McDonald being shot 16 times by the officer and an alleged conspiracy about a cover up.

“I own it,” he said. “I take responsibility for what happened because it happened on my watch,”  Angered by how the Chicago Police Department treats the city’s minorities reached a critical stage in late November after video of an officer murdering 17-year-old McDonald was discharged. Lawyer General Loretta Lynch reported a government investigation concerning assertions of civil rights infringement by the force.

“But does he mean it or Just sorry he got caught?” one protestor said. Goggans stood silently holding a sign that said “16 shots and a cover up #LaquanMcDonald #ResignRahm.” Others in the room chanted “Black Lives Matter.”

Chicago which is currently being called Chiraq by a majority has been wild with gang related and senseless killings. Since last January for shooting incidents dramatically increased from 119 to 242, the quantity of shooting casualties expanded from 136 to 292 and 51 homicides contrasted with the 29 of January 2015.

And with recent murder of 9-years-old Tyshawn Lee, who was lured into an alley and executed in connection with his father’s gang relations and the shooting and attempted murder of Drill rapper King Louie its getting worst. Louie whose real name is Louis King Johnson Jr. was shot at 22 times 7 of which hit him including a bullet fragment to the head, he is still alive; the crime continued as three other men were shot dead right after leading into January. When asked by CNN’s Don Lemon what’s going on in Chicago the rapper went on to say “The devil is working overtime.”, he is expected to have a full recovery and also relocate from Chicago.
